About the Workshop
Join us for a three-hour, hands on cold process soap making workshop hosted at En Root, a beautiful plant-based restaurant that provides the perfect setting for a creative and sociable afternoon.
Designed with complete beginners in mind, this workshop will introduce you to the ancient art of soap making, guiding you through the full process from scratch, from selecting ingredients and blending your own unique scent combinations, through to pouring and finishing your bars. Cold process is the traditional method of making soaps soap, producing beautiful, long-lasting bars that are gentle on the skin. We will be on hand throughout, ensuring you feel confident and supported at every stage.
We will provide tuition handouts so learners can repeat the process at home as many times as they wish. The handouts include step-by-step instructions, ingredient lists, measurements to support confident and independent practice.
What You'll Create
By the end of the session, you'll have made approximately 12 natural soap bars to take home. Your soaps will require two days to cure before cutting, so you'll arrange a collection time on the day. We think you'll find collecting your finished soaps a rather lovely moment.
What's Included
All materials, tools, natural ingredients, expert tuition, and your finished bars are included in the price. While you work, the talented chefs at En Root will be preparing a wholesome, nutritious vegan light lunch for you to enjoy during the session. Drinks are also included. Please do let us know of any dietary requirements or allergies at the time of booking.
Please wear comfortable clothing with long sleeves. Aprons will be provided.

This workshop is open to everyone, but particularly well suited to beginners. No prior experience of soap-making is required, just an enthusiasm for making something beautiful with your own hands.
